Julian Versmissen
Specialist areas
Julian Versmissen specialises and advises predominantly on (cross-border) real property transactions. He has gained extensive experience with a variety of sale & purchase transactions (office, retail, and logistics), in particular concerning turnkey development projects, sale & leaseback arrangements and combined sales and building contracts. In connection herewith, Julian also focuses on lease law aspects of transactions and project management agreements. In addition, he litigates and advises on building law related matters in which area of expertise he is also very much involved with the drafting and negotiating of agreements, as well as the setting up of project specific collaboration forms, between clients and contracting partners.
Julian previously worked at Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam and Frankfurt, Germany. Since 2007 he has worked for Roschier, Attorneys Ltd. in Helsinki at which firm he has concentrated on corporate real property structures and acquisitions of property companies. He advises project developers, (international) investors, construction companies and public authorities.

Julian is a member of the Vereniging voor Bouwrecht Advocaten (Association for Construction Law Attorneys). In 2006 he successfully completed the Grotius postgraduate study programme on property, obtaining his diploma cum laude. Julian has various publications on his name. Notable most recent is his contribution as co-author of the chapter on real property investments into the Netherlands included in the German legal handbook Rechtshandbuch Immobilien Investitionen, Verlag C.H. Beck (2009).
