Mathijs Terwindt
Specialist areas
Mathijs Terwindt specialises in spatial planning law. He finished both his Master’s degrees, in Law (specialisation: administrative law) and Human Geography and Spatial Planning (MSc) respectively, in six years time. Already during his studies Mathijs explicitly focused on spatial- and (urban) planning. He advices and litigates in the areas of spatial planning law, zoning plans, and environmental law (environmental permits, noise external security, etc.).
Mathijs started his career at BarentsKrans N.V. in the Real Estate department and, later on, in the Supreme Court Litigation department. In his position at the Supreme Court he was operating in the areas of public- and private law, and government liability issues.

Mathijs regularly publishes and gives lectures. He is also a member of the Vereniging voor Bestuursrecht (Dutch association for administrative law) and a member of The Association of Young Real Estate Lawyers.
