Laurens conducts a civil advisory and litigation practice with an emphasis on real estate law in a broad sense, procurement law and professional liability of professional service providers.

Laurens acts as an attorney for investors, project developers, landlords, government agencies (such as municipalities) and housing corporations in a variety of cases related to construction, real estate and procurement law. Laurens also assists notaries, lawyers, architects, estate agents and tax advisers in legal proceedings, both civil and disciplinary.

This registration obliges him to earn ten training points in each registered area of law each calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar Association.

Before joining STIJL Advocaten, Laurens worked for a large legal assistance insurer. There, Laurens was part of the Real Estate section. He worked on numerous and diverse (complex) real estate law related matters. Subsequently, Laurens worked for another law firm, where he mainly handled (complex) construction and procurement law files.

Laurens is a member of the Construction Lawyers Association.

Laurens has an international background and speaks fluent English, French and Italian in addition to Dutch.
