Suzanne Zuidam

Senior Attorney

Suzanne specialises in civil construction law and property-related contract law.

Suzanne works in the civil real estate practice within Stijl Advocaten and has extensive experience in advising, contracting and litigating on construction law, area development, project development, public-private partnership constructions, purchase/sale of real estate, real estate-related contract and corporate law, tenancy law and procurement law. Suzanne also deals with various real estate-related sustainability issues. In her practice, Suzanne assists project developers, housing corporations, government bodies and contractors with drafting (extensive) civil law contracts and/or conducting legal disputes.

Suzanne has registered the following area of law in the Register of Jurisdictions of the Netherlands Bar Association:

• Real estate law / Construction law

This registration obliges her to earn ten training points each calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar Association in each registered area of law.

Suzanne holds a Master’s degree in Civil Law (with an emphasis on real estate) from Leiden University. Before joining STIJL Advocaten, Suzanne worked for another niche law firm specialising in construction and real estate law.

In 2017 Suzanne completed the Grotius specialisation course in Real Estate Law (cum laude) and in 2015 Suzanne successfully completed the institute for Construction Law’s specialisation course in Private Construction Law. Suzanne regularly publishes on her subject. She is also a member of the Construction Lawyers Association, the Association for Young Real Estate Lawyers and FRESH Professionals.
